Services

What we work on.

Coatings cover the wear surfaces around the home: garages, basements, patios, driveways, pool decks. Restoration covers the protective and decorative work the coating side doesn't: polishing stone, restoring glass. Pick a surface to see how we install or restore it.

Owner-operated

30 years of one set of hands.

When you call this shop, you talk to me. When you book this shop, I'm the one showing up to grind your slab. It's been that way since 1996, and it's how I plan to keep doing it.

An Air Force background, an A+ BBB rating since 2005, and a working list of repeat customers across the SW Twin Cities. David Meyers founded Clear View in 1996 to do the work himself, and after 30 years he's still the one doing it.

How an install runs

Six steps. Same checklist, every job.

The reason a 30-year shop stays in business is the work holding up at year ten. The reason the work holds up at year ten is the prep before the coating goes down.

  1. 01

    In-home assessment and written quote

We visit the property, measure the slab, test for moisture if it's a basement, evaluate existing damage, and write a fixed quote on the tier that fits. No salesperson, no follow-up call campaigns, no contract pressure. The quote stays valid 60 days.

  2. 02

    Diamond-ground surface prep

Day one of every install starts with diamond grinding the slab to open the concrete profile. This is where most installers cut corners; we don't. The bond between coating and concrete is only as good as the prep underneath it.

  3. 03

    Crack and joint repair

Hairline cracks filled and tooled flat. Spalled edges feathered. Expansion joints prepped to handle seasonal slab movement. On older slabs this step is the difference between a coating that lasts a decade and one that telegraphs the cracks through at year three.

  4. 04

    Basecoat application

Polyurea or industrial urethane goes down at full mil thickness, rolled and back-rolled for even coverage. This is the structural layer that bonds to the prepped concrete and carries the durability of the system.

  5. 05

    Decorative flake and UV topcoat

On Ultimate-tier installs, full decorative flake is broadcast into the wet basecoat in your custom color blend. After cure, the excess is scraped, the floor swept, and the polyaspartic UV-stable topcoat seals the system.

  6. 06

    Walk-through and warranty

Final walk-through on the finished floor. Written warranty in your hands. Care guide for the first 30 days. Walk on the floor at 24 hours, drive on it at 48.

Common questions

Frequently asked.

The six questions homeowners ask most before booking. If yours isn't here, call (612) 369-1631 or send us a message.

How much does a garage floor coating cost in Chaska, MN?
Garage floor coating projects in the SW Twin Cities typically range $1,800 to $9,000+ depending on the system tier and slab size. Most 2-car garages with the Ultimate polyurea + polyaspartic system land between $2,400 and $6,800. Every project starts with a free in-home assessment and a fixed written quote.
How long does the install take?
Most 2-car garage and basement installs are 1 to 2 days on site. Use windows depend on the tier: Essential is back in service in 6 to 12 hours, Advanced in 24 hours, Ultimate and Apex walk-on in 24 hours and drive-on in 48. Larger projects, full driveways, or extensive crack repair can run a second day.
What's the difference between polyurea and epoxy?
Polyurea is the modern replacement for epoxy in Minnesota garages. It's UV stable (doesn't yellow), flexible (doesn't crack with freeze-thaw), and tolerates hot tires without lifting. Epoxy fails on all three. We don't install epoxy.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Every Clear View install includes a locally backed written warranty. Specific terms vary by tier; the warranty document is reviewed at the in-home estimate before any work is scheduled.
What time of year is best for a coating install?
Polyurea cures in a wide temperature range, so heated garage installs run year-round. Outdoor projects (patios, driveways, pool decks) schedule March through November. Peak season (May to September) typically books 3 to 6 weeks ahead.
